There will be a media briefing from 08:00 to 08:30 on Monday 2 October 2017 at the Tanoa International Hotel and Convention Centre, Nadi, Fiji. The briefing will take place just before the Opening Ceremony of the First Lead Author Meeting for the Special Report on the Ocean and Cryosphere in a Changing Climate of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which is open to the media and observers from 09:00 to 10:00. The media briefing is not expected to produce a story in itself, but will provide reporters with the essential background they need to cover climate change related stories.
