Bard Rama is the Director of Operations of IPCC Working Group II Technical Support Unit. His role is to coordinate the administrative, financial and technical aspects of the IPCC Working Group II Technical Support Unit (TSU). Liaise with the IPCC WGI and WGIII TSUs as well as the IPCC Secretariat. Coordinate operations and other related activities during the scoping, author selection, drafting and review phases, as well as final acceptance and SPM approval for both, the Special Report and the WGII Contribution to the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report. Organised and lead the operations and logistics related to the international WGII meetings during the whole cycle (since 2016).
Bard has over 21 years of work experience. Prior to joining the WGII TSU, he worked as a Deputy Director/Operations Supervisor at NATO/KFOR. He has also worked in World Bank Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Project. Bard is working on his PhD thesis on Ecodistricts. Holds membership of a numerous professional organisations, such as PMI (Project Management Institute) and AIA, and held executive and board positions for a number of years (AIACE President of the Board). Participated in many international conferences, as speaker, organising committee member and peer reviewer.
