Daniel Belling is Science Officer at the Working Group II Technical Support Unit in Bremen. He is an expert on environmental governance and public finance with a main focus on the capacity of states, markets and society to adapt to climate change. Daniel holds a PhD in comparative politics from the University of Kent, UK, and was awarded degrees in sociology and economics from the University of Heidelberg, Germany.
Prior to joining the WG II TSU, he worked as graduate teacher and researcher on projects related to sustainable market innovations, non-profit governance, green finance and expert participation in politics. He was visiting researcher at Sweden’s Lund University and worked in an advisory capacity at the European Parliament in Brussels.
