UNEP’s Deputy Executive Director visits IPCC Secretariat

The Deputy Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Ibrahim Thiaw, visited the Secretariat of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) in Geneva on 25 April 2017.

UNEP jointly with the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) established the IPCC in 1988 to provide the world with a clear scientific view on the current state of knowledge in climate change and its potential environmental and socio-economic impacts.

Before visiting the IPCC Secretariat, Deputy Executive Director Thiaw met with the Secretary General of the WMO, Petteri Taalas.
