Opening of the Sixty-fourth Session of the IPCC

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is meeting for its sixty-fourth Plenary Session in Bangkok, Thailand, from 24 to 27 March 2026.

The meeting is hosted by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN-ESCAP) and the Royal Thai Government.

Opening session

The opening session of the meeting took place on Tuesday, 24 March 2026, at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok. Delegates were addressed by
