Robin has been a Science Officer at the WGI TSU since November 2016. He was an editor of the IPCC Special Report on Global Warming of 1.5°C and, in addition to the main WGI report, is currently working on the IPCC Special Report on the Ocean and Cryosphere in a Changing Climate. Robin provides scientific support for report preparation and production, including coordination of glossaries and referencing. He is also actively involved in several efforts to promote and adapt IPCC reports for use in education and outreach. Before joining the WGI TSU, Robin was a Postdoctoral Fellow in Physical Oceanography at Memorial University in Newfoundland, Canada, where he worked with underwater vehicles in the northwest Atlantic. He holds a PhD in Ocean and Climate science from the University of Victoria, also in Canada, for which he investigated seasonal cycling of ocean pH and historical methods of measuring sea surface temperature.
