Shreya joined the IPCC WG III TSU as a Scientist in mid June 2020. She is a Ph.D. Scholar (UGC- NET-SRF) at Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. She holds a Master degree in Economics. Shreya began her research career in 2016 as a Project Fellow with the Global Change Programme, Kolkata and has been working with Prof. Joyashree Roy since then. Shreya’s research interest include emission trend analysis, direct and indirect benefits and cost analysis of different energy and agriculture related mitigation options and linkages with sustainable development goals. She worked as a Contributing Author in Chapter 5 of the IPCC Special Report 1.5. Shreya is a project-based exchange scholar at the Technical University, Bergakademie, Freiberg, Germany funded by the UGC-DAAD PPP 2019-2021. She also worked as a Business Analyst with Wipro Technologies (India) and was also a Summer Intern at Reserve Bank of India (Kolkata).
